What is Intermediate/Advanced Archery?

Intermediate/Advanced lessons are for students that have completed Beginner Archery lessons at AJ Archery or have had an increased level of training in archery.  Coach AJ will determine if a student should be in this level.

During Intermediate/Advanced lessons, students will continue to learn and increase their knowledge of advanced stretching, hydration, advanced conditioning, and advanced archery shooting form along with equipment. Students will have the option to learn the National Training System (NTS) Shot Cycle. Students will shoot more arrows and begin with a 10-ring target to shoot in their lessons. They will progress to shooting an ever-increasing amount of arrows into more complicated targets. Distance to target will begin with either 40' or 50' progressing to 60'. Evaluations of students will be continual with attention to increasing archery equipment knowledge, equipment repairs, advanced shooting form and aiming skills using different and more difficult targets. Students will also learn use of advanced mental management and competitive distraction training using music.
